According to the USVI Bureau of Economic Research the USVI saw the volume of air arrivals decrease by 39.6% in July 2018, falling from 74,094 arrivals in July 2017 to 44,737 air arrivals in July 2018. Cruise arrivals declined by 27.9% in July, from 203,860 cruise visitors in July 2017 to 146,962 cruise visitors in July 2018.
Through the first seven months of 2018 the USVI saw a 49.5% decrease in the volume of air arrivals, falling from 527,148 arrivals in the first seven months of 2017 to 265,965 arrivals in the same seven months of 2018. The number of cruise visitors fell by 20.4% in the first seven months of 2018, falling from 1,070,652 cruise visitors in 2017 to 852,260 in 2018.
