According to the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Saint Lucia saw the volume of stopover arrivals increase by 6.5% in December 2018, growing from 38,910 arrivals in December 2017 to 41,428 arrivals in December 2018. Stopover arrivals from the USA grew by 5.9%, from 16,344 in December 2017 to 17,314 in December 2018 and increased by 19.3% from the U.K., from 6,717 arrivals in December 2017 to 8,013 in December 2018. Cruise arrivals grew by 9.9%, from 119,703 cruise visitors in December 2017 to 131,608 cruise visitors in December 2018.
In calendar year 2018 Saint Lucia saw a 2.2% increase in the volume of stopover arrivals, growing from 386,127 arrivals in 2017 to 394,780 arrivals in 2018. Arrivals from the USA increased by 4.1% in 2018, growing from 168,223 arrivals in 2017 to 175,073 arrivals in 2018 while arrivals from the U.K. grew by 4.9% in 2018, growing from 72,580 stopovers in 2017 to 76,142 stopovers in 2018. The number of cruise visitors grew by 13.6% in 2018, from 669,217 cruise visitors in 2017 to 760,206 in 2018.
